RAPID ADHESION TO THE WOUND’S SURFACE

• The NHS-PEG coating of this device, when in contact with blood or other body fluids, enhances its tissue adhering properties and seals the bleeding surface.
• Rapidly adhering to applied tissue due to the electrophilic cross-linking action of NHS-PEG

INTRINSIC HEMOSTASIS

• The second main step involves collagen mediating hemostatic action responsible for forming a fibrin clot.  Collagen induces platelet aggregation and fibrin formation.
• In contact with blood, collagen induces aggregation of platelets. Platelets deposit in large numbers on the collagen structure, degranulation and release coagulation factors that, together with plasma factors, enable the formation of fibrin.
• It can be used in wide range of surgical procedures such as open surgery, laparoscopic and endoscopic with defined bleeding area and diffused bleeding.
