This course is designed to teaches the proper inspection techniques and safe practices for welding operations. The course covers a range of topics, including welding process selection, welding defects and their causes, welding inspection methods, quality control, and safe work practices for welders. The objective of the course is to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to inspect welds, identify and resolve welding defects, and ensure the safe and efficient performance of welding operations. The course may also cover industry standards and regulations related to welding inspection and safety. . Instructional contact-time must be a minimum of 8 hours.

  4. Welding Equipment Inspection and Maintenance: Proper procedures for inspecting and maintaining welding equipment, how to conduct regular inspections and maintenance on welding equipment, the role of inspection and maintenance in preventing incidents.
  5. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):The importance of proper PPE when welding,how to properly select and use PPE for specific tasks and hazards when welding, the role of PPE in protecting workers from hazards when welding.
  6. Welding Safety Procedures: Proper procedures for setting up, preparing and cleaning the work area, and welding, how to properly use and operate welding equipment, the limitations of welding equipment.
  7. Fumes and Gases: The hazards and risks associated with welding fumes and gases, proper procedures for controlling and ventilating welding fumes and gases, the role of air-purifying respirators and supplied-air respirator.
  8. Fire Prevention and Emergency Response: fire prevention and emergency response procedures when,  welding, how to properly extinguish and evacuate in case of an emergency.
  9. Welding Inspection: Techniques for inspecting and evaluating the quality of welds, how to evaluate the compliance of welding with codes and standards, the role of welding inspection in preventing incidents.
  10. Conclusion: Recap of the hazards and risks associated with welding, the importance of proper inspection and safety measures to protect workers when welding, the benefits of implementing a comprehensive safety program.

Training will be conducted via Microsoft Team Meeting, online. Meeting invites will be shared on the day before the first day of training.
