This course is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage the health and safety risks associated with toxic substances. This course covers topics such as toxic substance identification, risk assessment, safe handling and storage practices, emergency response, and personal protective equipment. Participants will learn about the dangers and hazards associated with toxic substances and how to develop and implement effective safety procedures to minimize risk and protect workers. The course is intended for workers in industries where toxic substances are used, safety officers, and anyone responsible for managing or supervising the handling of toxic substances. Instructional contact-time must be a minimum of 8 hours.

  6. Emergency Planning and Response: Developing emergency response plans for managing toxic substances,  understanding the requirements for emergency shutdowns and isolation, training employees on emergency response procedures
  7. Inspection and Auditing: Conducting regular inspections and audits of toxic substance management practices,  identifying and addressing potential hazards during inspections and audits, reviewing and updating toxic substance management plans and procedures
  8. Case Studies and Real-world examples:Understanding the application of toxic substance management techniques in different settings, analyzing case studies of successful and unsuccessful toxic substance management, identifying best practices and lessons learned from real-world examples
