This course will offer participants a detailed understanding in various segments, which are not limited to:

Introduction to COSHH Assessments: Overview of the regulations and guidelines for COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) assessments, importance of identifying and controlling hazards associated with hazardous substances in the workplace, risks and hazards associated with hazardous substances.
2. Identifying Hazardous Substances and Assessing Risks: Understanding the different types of hazardous substances and their properties, identifying hazardous substances in the workplace and assessing the risks they pose, implementing measures to control and minimize risks.
3. COSHH Risk Assessment Process: Step-by-step guidance on how to conduct a COSHH assessment, identifying the relevant information, such as the substance’s properties, the process and the people who are exposed, evaluating the risks and selecting the appropriate control measures.
4. Implementing and Reviewing Control Measures: Implementing the control measures identified in the COSHH assessment, reviewing and evaluating the effectiveness of the control measures, updating the COSHH assessment as necessary.
5. Record Keeping and Communication: Understanding the requirements for record keeping and communication of COSHH assessments, keeping accurate records of COSHH assessments and control measures, communicating the results of COSHH assessments to employees and relevant parties.
6. COSHH and Other Regulations: Understanding the relationship between COSHH and other regulations, such as the REACH Regulation and CLP Regulation, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
7. Health Surveillance and Monitoring: Understanding the importance of health surveillance and monitoring for hazardous substances, implementing health surveillance and monitoring programs, analyzing and interpreting the results of health surveillance and monitoring.
